Privacy Policy

Last Updated: July 21, 2026

Campaign compliance and privacy review recorded by KC Streich on July 21, 2026. This is the campaign's operational approval and does not represent an independent legal opinion.

1. Introduction

AI for Wisconsin is the public campaign site for KC Streich's independent civic write-in campaign. This policy explains how the site and campaign Discord services handle information submitted through campaign forms, comments, donations, analytics, public-input workflows, and the AI for Wisconsin public representative preview.

2. Information We Collect

We may collect the following types of information:

  • Signup information: name, email, ZIP code, interest area, and optional self-attested US or Wisconsin residency status.
  • Comments and public input: questions, issue feedback, addendum ideas, source notes, response preference, and optional contact information.
  • Donation information: information handled by the campaign donation provider and any records required for campaign finance compliance.
  • Usage and security data: basic request metadata, IP-derived rate-limit signals, hashed IP values, browser information, and analytics events.
  • Discord agent data: Discord user ID and visible display name, channel ID and class, message content, AI responses, session identifiers, moderation or security events, and relevant prompt, model, source, and correction metadata.

Residency fields are self-attested segmentation only. They are not verified residency, voter verification, or official polling status.

3. How We Use Information

  • Send campaign updates and respond to questions.
  • Organize volunteer, public-input, and future assistant workflows.
  • Review comments, questions, and addendums before any public display.
  • Process donations and maintain records needed for campaign finance compliance.
  • Protect the site from spam, abuse, and operational misuse.
  • Improve campaign materials and public explanations.
  • Operate the Discord agent for conversation continuity, safety, moderation, evaluation, correction, deletion handling, and de-identified aggregate learning that improves the application.

4. Sharing And Service Providers

We do not sell personal information. We may use service providers for hosting, analytics, donation processing, email or webhook delivery, spam prevention, and optional database logging. We may disclose information when required by law or campaign finance reporting requirements.

Discord API data is not sent to an advertising network, data broker, or monetization service and is not used for targeted advertising, campaign advertising, campaign creative, public branding, user profiling, or model training.

5. Public Display

Comments, questions, addendums, donor recognition, or testimonials should only be displayed publicly when consent and review state support public display. Private submissions are handled for internal campaign review and response. A Discord transcript is not treated as consent to publication. A person who wants to provide a testimonial or quotation must submit it separately through a human campaign contact as a new contribution.

6. Data Retention

We keep campaign records as needed for outreach, compliance, security, review, and historical campaign operations. Some records may need to be retained to satisfy legal or reporting obligations.

For the Discord public representative preview, per-user session transcripts and directly associated session records are encrypted at rest and automatically deleted 30 days after a session ends. Encrypted recovery copies expire no later than 30 days after creation. If the preview stops operating, retained Discord API data is deleted unless a specific law requires a stated record to be preserved.

7. Your Choices

You may unsubscribe from campaign communications or request correction, export, or deletion of personal data, subject to any legal, compliance, moderation, incident-preservation, or security retention requirements. For Discord agent data, the campaign targets completion within seven calendar days and applies the request to active and recoverable copies.

8. Discord Agent Boundaries

The public representative preview does not create a durable Campaign Core member record, verify identity or Wisconsin residency, enable cross-session participant memory, or turn conversation into a campaign ballot. A Discord role controls channel admission but does not grant access to restricted transcript or campaign records.

Do not submit government ID images, Social Security numbers, full dates of birth, private third-party information, or sensitive health, financial, immigration, or legal information. If sensitive information is submitted accidentally, contact a moderator or the campaign so authorized operators can restrict, correct, or delete it and invalidate derived copies where applicable.
